My father passed away on Monday, May 12, at 7:24 PM. He left us peacefully and painlessly, surrounded by his family and close friends. We'll miss him so much.
For the past few days, this album has been almost the only thing I can listen to with deep attention. Music can be a kind of prayer and albums like this can only happen when folks get together to create in an atmosphere of love and respect for the music and for each other.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I lost my mom about 20 years ago, and my little sister about 15 years ago, so I thought I would somehow be ready this time...

I am so sorry for your loss. I recently lost my mom to cancer two years ago, so I feel your pain (especially around Mother's Day).
I hope you can find comfort in the good memories that you and your father created together.

I've been seeing this record posted in quite a few places so the time must come for me to check it out once and for all. I own lots of great Dells 45s but unfortunately, not too many LPs. That will soon chage, I assure you.
I've been really enjoying the Dionne Warwicke record immensely. I played "Steal Away" for my mom last week as she hadn't heard that song in at least 30 years... Fond memories of listening to the Mary Clayborne show on WWIN back in 1972 were all over the place. Thanks again for taking us back to a much simpler time...

Hi Chris, my condolences to you on the loss of your father. I lost my dad 4 years ago and mum died at the start of 2007. So I know the emptiness and pain you will be feeling. All I can say is remember where your dad is now he will be at peace with no more pain and suffering.

Apart from grieving for Pop, which is almost impossible to cope with sometimes, I'll be dealing with a lot of business in the next few weeks, so may not be able to post much for a while, but I'll try to keep track of comments and keep the music flowing.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences on your loss. My mom passed away in 2005, my dad in 1967, my stepdad in 1983 and a brother in 1987. Like several others here, I can truly empathize.
In the coming weeks you will have much to deal with but I am sure you will iron out the details.

BTW I lost my dad while I was performing on stage one sunny Sunday 20 years ago.
